I got this last year in bloom, this year it has given me much bigger blooms then I got last year so I guess I did something right.

Wow! Very nice shots, too!
Very cool! Never see this genus here.
Very unusual. What size are the blooms?
Pretty!
Seems like better color this round too. Unless that is just due to the camera change.

Thanks Yew-Sung! I had been told that my pictures had not been so good in the last couple of weeks due to my laziness so that has ended and I am back!

Thanks Yew-Sung! I had recently been told that I had gotten lazy in some of my pictures which I agreed with, now I am back to doing things right!

Chris, I have two of this species and looking for more, they are so different which is what I am looking for these days!

Thanks Karin, they are as tall as they are wide at 3 1/2 inches, much bigger then what was on the plant when I bought it last year.

Harvey, it turns out that what I posted last year was miss-tagged and was not the negrensis. This one I got after my post as I also wanted this one and when I got it the blooms were on their way out and I did not post a picture.
Gorgeous
Fantastic! Wherejagettit?
Amazing . You led me, Jack, to look at IOSPE , to find out a bit more about this genus which was just a name to me. To my surprise I find that it is bulbous, not one of these fan of leaves jobs like Huntleya, which I find so beautiful but quite un-growable ( by me, at least). I shall have to look out for plants on sale- not easy for South American orchids in Europe, apart from the obvious exceptions of Oncidium and Cattleya.
