This is a first rebloom. Only a 4 bloom spike though.

Labeled Miltassia Charles M Fitch AM/AOS x Odontocidium Black Berry 'Hawaii'. It seems like it should have its own hybrid name as pretty as it is.

It is green on the petals/sepals which didn't show well in the pictures. It didn't matter how I tried (flash or no flash)

Miltassia (Bratonia) Charles M. Fitch is very well known, of course. There are 5 cultivars that have received AM/AOS awards, but the cultivar name has apparently been lost from this tag. That doesn't matter as far as finding a name for it though.

Unfortunately, there is no registered Oncidium Alliance hybrid called Black Berry, or Blackberry. And the 'Hawaii' cultivar name doesn't lead to any other possibilities. That's a dead end in terms of finding a name. That part of the tag is either an unregistered name, or a mistake along the way.

That doesn't stop me from speculating though. The dark color and shape of your hybrid suggests that the Odontocidium would now be called Oncostele, with Rhynchostele bictoniensis ancestry. One possibility would be Bratonia Charles M. Fitch x Oncostele Black Beauty, registered as Arthurara Amy Roth. That is consistent with the elusive green background color as well, from Onc. leucochilum the other parent of Black Beauty. I haven't found a picture of that hybrid, but it probably is the right type - Arthurara (Brassia x Miltonia x Oncidium x Rhynchostele). Unless you can find more information about the supposed Black Berry, that's the best guess that can be made.

I Googled for this combo before I posted hoping to find a registered name but came up dry. I'll pencil in the new possible name and try to find it to compare.
