In search for fragrance

Hi everybody!

These are my fragrant babies. They finally opened a couple of days ago. The fragrance is wonderful day (maxillaria tenuifolia) and night (Brosavola nodosa). What are your favorite fragrant orchids? Give me some suggestions for my new purchases on Sunday's orchid show in NYC.

Those are real nice, but I don't know any fragrances as I am just about to start my collection, pending on Sunday's show. They say that Phalaenopsis schillerana is fragrant. I can't imagine anything that pink not having a good smell.

If you can find it, Sederia japonica is a great one! One of the vendors had 4 left when I walked by his booth today. They disappeared very, very quickly! But it's amazing. It's a fairly small plant and from what I've been told, you can grow if like a phaleanopsis. And it is incredibly fragrant!! If you see it, get it! You won't go wrong.

Similar to the Brassavola nodosa, the B. digbyana has a lovely citrus-lime scent at night (and an amazing flower!)

Phal. schilleriana can be fragrant or not - stick your nose into a blooming plant to be sure. It should have a daytime fragrance, if it has one (some don't.)

If you can find any cool-growing Miltoniopsis in bloom, they have a huge magnificent rose scent, but they can be a bit tougher to raise. They like cooler temps. They're worth the trouble though - both for their blooms and their scent!

Hi Julie,
I do have Digbyana and it is a faithful bloomer for me. I am expecting 2 fragrant flawers in few weeks.
My Phal. schilleriana is not fragrant at all . When I got it, I didn't know there were not-fragrant schillerianas.
I love the Miltoniopsis, but I kill it every time I try to grow it. My plant room is too hot and I don't water enough....

I do best with intermidiate and warm growing orchids.
