Default Stanhopea Mem. Paul Allan (annoying)

Another lot of flowers & spikes from my Stanhopea. As you can see & why I say annoying, 3 nice spikes that "were" the same length at one time. One after the other again !!!

Can very well understand the frustration. Would have been a great show if it had opened together

I just wish mine would bloom for me. It is irritating when you get so many spikes thinking it is going to look great when they all bloom to have them not bloom at the same time cane be frustrating, but at least they continue to bloom!

Had the same thing happen with a Den. I posted in February. One cane at a time with the last one opening a few days ago.

First time seeing this. Did the spike pierce through the medium in the basket?

Yep, that's how they flower in basket culture. In nature they grow on mossy tree limbs but still send their spikes down like this.
