Dendrobium lindleyi - a very easy orchid to grow? Only if you offer the summer and winter temperatures that it likes. I don't really have the climate during winter to make lindleyi bloom. I have my basement where it will never drop below 55 deg F (13 deg C). So this winter I brought it outside on our covered porch during those few nights when I knew the temperature would not drop below 40 deg F (~5 deg C). I think it got five nights like that only. Wow it worked! Six flower stems with a total of 125 flowers.

Thanks Chris. I only give clonal names to the very best and so far I didn't do it with this one because the years before it never showed me this kind of blooming cascade. But as long as I can give it this weird treatment (watching the weather channels, making the final decision to carry it out, and finally, not forgetting to take it back in) it seems to have real potential. If I give it a clonal name it will be after my wife, Khairul Bariah.
Looks awesome!!.
Wow nice job Arne!
When you guys say I'm doing a good job I must be doing something right. Thanks!
Wow that is healthy clump Arne I like it so much so many spikes ....maybe nice to put the clonal name as var. Khairul Bariah.
Very nice Arne!
Very well grown clump. Extremely showy for the size of the plants.
