Hello! New orchid mom here. I've kept my orchid, Ophelia, alive since January. When I got her she only two buds were open so i got to see them bloombut just today or maybe yesterday she started wilting! Trying to nurse her back to health.
She's been at the spot since Jan. I water her probably every 3 weeks as most of the time the moss is still moist. She was really dry this weekend, so I might have overwatered a tad, but not sure how i can tell. I posted pictures of the roots. Are they decaying or still in good shape? I assume the bright green things the roots? (pardon my naiveté)
The second change was that I raised the blinds and have kept them open. Now that it's summer I think the sun is coming in at a different angle during sunset and she's possibly getting more direct light? Especially with the raised blinds. I think she just got a little too much sun exposure.
I also don't have the AC on yet so could it be too hot in here?
I posted a picture of the open and raised blinds versus them closed as I had been having them. The glare on the open blind picture probably is what's giving too much sunlight.
Thoughts and remedies?
