    Default Problems with draculas

    Hi guys, i did bought these draculas couple of months ago and each one of them is experiencing difficulties. The vampira did get through a huge set back and these spot is appearing on the leaves and tip of the leaves will get yellow or brown and the new growth is growing really slow. The air movement is kind of good, the light is moderate to high and the temperature is 27 to 16. But with all of this the plant is producing a spike. These are some pictures of vampira :

    The only thing I know about Dracs is they require cooler weather then what I can provide for them.

    I think Jack nailed it. 27 is to high for Draculas. Humidity needs to be high as well. Minimum 60% and 80% would be much better.

    I have for three years dracula, one a vase and two mounted, and several masdevallia, in my experience I noticed that the temperature is not critical, this summer has exceeded 30 ° in the greenhouse and I have not noticed damage, important is a daily watering , water at 50 ppm and ph 6.2 and a very high RH, in my greenhouse ranges between 70% and 80%, obtained through a fi "fog" plant, fertilizations with a 20-20-20 to 75 - 80 ppm.
    I would eliminate the yellowed leaves and cut the damaged tips, I would do some treatments with a copper and with alternate "Aliette" (Bayer), they are not mixable.

    Thank you for the advice, the water i'm using is very soft (20ppm, 6 to 7 ph) and i never used fertilizer for Draculas. Humidity range is 50 to 90 in winter. And i don't think my problem is a fungus problem.

    I have some doubts, I would do the treatments, I think the problem is related to the environment, mainly relative humidity.
    In my humble it seems the irrigation water at ppm 22 is too desalinate, the ideal is 50 - 55ppm, x increase the use of fertilizer, x decrease add water x reverse osmosis to 0 ppm, until you reach the desired values and the ph should not exceed 6.5 ph, x decrease use apple vinegar or lemon juice, x increase tap water, normally harder or appropriate chemicals.
    Fertilization is necessary:
    in summer nr 2 monthly fertilizations at 80 ppm with 20-20-20;
    in winter nr. 1 fertilization at 75 ppm with 20-20-20.
