    I have a few phals and a den I would love some help IDing 🙂 thanks in advance for your replies!

    #1 Phal - the blooms become more yellow the older they get so I'm including pics of both fresh and old blooms. It looks a lot like the Liodoro but I really don't think I got that lucky lol (plus I cut the flower spike so it could focus on leaves and roots...oops) It had somewhat of a floral fragrance, but to me I thought it smelled more fishy than anything oddly enough.



    #2 Phal - It's slightly fragrant, floral yet very sweet. Similar to the oncidium sharry baby


    #3 Phal - Hey cutie, who are you? 😉


    #4 Den - it's a phalaenopsis or bigibbum type, I can find lots of pictures that look very similar but none that are so green on the backside

    Can't believe it, I forgot this one lol. It has much bigger flowers than the rest. And a very slight floral fragrance

    You're never going to be able to accurately ID any of them - despite what some may suggest.

    There are just SO many hybrids out there that look the same, natural variation within a population of siblings, and variations in flower appearance due to differences in cultural parameters, that two, totally different hybrids can appear the same and two identical hybrids can look different.

    raybark, I do realize I can never be 100% sure. But it's nice to try to put a name to them 🙂 plus someone out there might own one and know it right away and be able to give me a name. I'm not looking to register them in a show or anything. This is just a fun part of the hobby for me 😉
