I just bought a noid Encyclia at a local nursery. It was very cheap and healthy looking, so I just couldn't pass it up. Here is the problem, It is potted up in regular potting mix, like miracle grow or something like it. Oh yeah it has two flower spikes on it now also. Here are my questions:
I should probably repot it in an orchid mix right?
1. Should I wait till the spike is done blooming, then repot it?
2. Should I get all the soil off the roots before i pot it in orchid mix, because it is heavily rooted and will be very hard to wash off? I am affraid I will damage alot of roots trying to get all the soil out.
