    solid purple, very waxy. no real fragrance though.

    Great photo....does yours have more than 3-4 blooms on the end ?? Got to love the waxy ones for longevity!

    I originally bought a plant for my mom a couple years back that had 5-6 flowers as a first-bloom. It unfortunately fell victim to rot (I guess it thought it was a phrag. wallisii ) and I found a nice deal on a replacement. This is its first blooming, and it looks like 3 flowers, although I'm not sure if the spike is done--sometimes it'll throw one or two more afterwards for good measure.
