Default Phal. Sogo Grape 'Y.N.' AM/AOS

This guy is so hard to photograph, because the flowers are so heavy and waxy. They reflect even diffuse light and distort the color to appear much lighter.

I played around this afternoon, and the best shots I got were early evening, with less ambient light and no flash (hence the slight blur.) It's close, but the color is darker still.

Pretty, Julie. Looks like there is a possibility of a fragrance? Would be cool if it smelled like "grape"! :-)

Julie, that photo is stunning! It looks very good. Sogo Grape is a very dark bloom and your photo captures it well. Most of the time the photos I have seen are too dark to see any detail or the shine is so bright it washes out the color. Nice work!

    Cheers!

LOL - Hoa has trained you well, Diane! None that I've noticed.

Dave, of course it was me. You know I've done it before. And I never wipe my muddy bare feet!
