Hi all,
I picked up a few new orchids on a visit to a grower in WI a few weeks ago when I was out there to pick up our new puppy.
One of these is a Phal. violacea (red form). It's a blooming sized plant with the start of a bloom stalk. The plant had just been treated with a fungacide at the greenhouse. I treated with cinnamon after I got it home. The top of the growing medium was moss covered (couldn't tell what it was even growing in and I forgot to ask).
So, I decided I'd repot today, get a look at the roots as the green/dark colored moss on the top was making me nervous.
Just got it unpotted and the roots look awesome, but it was potted in sphag. *sigh* Should I repot in sphag, since it seems to happy (root wise, anyway) or use a bark mix that I have most of my other phals in?
Thanks for the input.
