    Default Paph Gege Hughes

This is a first blooming for this complex Paph. It wanted to try in August of 2005, but I was traveling and the spike aborted during a hot stretch of weather.

There are two spikes each with a large flower.

That is gorgeous McJ! I love the gold color and the varnished look. I am getting more and more interested in complex paphs! How large is the flower?

Well what a treat I received! I have been fixing treats, drinks and nibbles all evening and decided to take a break with orchids - and what do I see? This beautiful apricot delight!!! Julie, that one is really nice!

Ahhhh. Much nicer form than mine, a little less honey tones. Lovely!

Thanks all! The flowers are more than three inches, but not quite four - quite large! This was my first Paph to put up two spikes, which was an exciting 'first'.

But I'm just not a complex Paph gal, and so this guy will be spending a warmer winter in southern California. Diane and I traded her Catt. Bob Betts division for my Paph. Gege Hughes. I didn't want to ship it while it was blooming, but I did want to post the pics so she could see what she was getting.
