Phal season

Here are my first two Phals to bloom this season. These are my first earned spikes on both. The amythest was a baby phal I bought for a steal last season. This is her first time blooming. I just love the low laying curved spike on phal #2. I use to stake my stems, but I think I've changed my mind on that. I think I prefer the natural shape. Interestingly enough, last year I had a paph sitting in the same spot as phal #2. When it put out a spike, it's shape was almost identical. I'll post a pic so you can see what I mean. I wonder what it is about that spot that produces that shape. sorry about the photo quality. i swear I'm going to buy a decent camera one day.
