A cattleya that caught my eye while watering. This is a big bloom on a smallish plant. I am not sure that I really like the shape of the flower though. What do you think?

It looks a bit distorted. Was the bud damaged?
No, I don't believe so. I think this is the shape of this one. I guess I will wait to see what the next flower looks like. Very odd.

Ummm..... Bruce? Is that my ex-husband?He always was a little 'distorted'. Nice color, though. (he sunburned easily too)
Well, I couldn't look a gift bloom in the throat, so I say - if it needs a home send him to me!!!
I do like the lip. Looks like it's 'fluffing' you LOL!
A bit unusual.
A bit exquisite...=)
I think its special!! Non-orchid people wouldn't probably notice a difference anyways...lol If you like it, that's all that matters!!
Kind of a bland looking bloom. Not the usual glorious looking orchid flower.![]()
looks like the dorsal just needs to stick up for itself!
Distinctly odd! Judi
I think it is quite fun - it looks like it has ears. It's amazing the difference the dorsal not showing up makes to the shape of the plant.
