    Default Cym aloifolium

    I recently received this species as a division. Last week, I noticed a spike forming and it is amazing how fast it has grown.

    It is in a black plastic pot that is placed in clay for stabilization. I may have to turn a clay pot upside down if the spike continues to grow.

    I have never seen a spike develop as quickly as this one. It was an inch long with a cluster of buds at the end. I though the flowers were going to open clustered and the next I knew was it started extending.
