Dendrobium with a kink question?

Got a question for you Dendrobium growers. I have two baby den's growing now for about 6 months and both have new growths. One however is not growing right and I'm wondering if this is a genetic kink or what? Does anyone know about this one?
I'll put them next to each other in the picture, the strange one is on the left.

Connie, sometimes that happens with mechanical damage. The other growths look fine.

Damage to the growth when it was young from either bumping it into something or from an insect, ect would be mechanical damage. Whith the other growths looking normal, I wouldn't be worried. I would also check it thoroughly to make sure there isn't a scale at the base of the leaf.

Connie, this is a great question and I'm glad you asked it, as I have a plant here in my apartment that has funny growths like that as well...the leaf is growing well, but certain't doesn't look like the others!! I often thought it had to be mechanical damage, but you never know! I might go in and look for a scale insect at the base, I hadn't thought of that before!

I agree with Ron. It looks like damage to the growth when it was young. Since the other growths looks fine, I would not worry.

Phew, cant have anything happening to these little babies before they bloom someday! I was wondering if I'd done something wrong....I'll go check for a bug...they have tons of interesting little things down there that love to chow down on greenery.
