Hi guys,
Anyone have any experience with oribatid mites? How did you get rid of them, or mites in general. Which products should I buy?

Miticides are about the only sure way to get rid of mites in general. I did a quick google search for some name brands and found this site Spider Mites on Landscape Plants | University of Kentucky Entomology At the bottom of the page list several different miticides and their recommendations on the types of plants, etc. These of course are listed for Kentucky. They may not, as the web site states, be legal in your state or part of the world.
Cheers,

Hi there Elitebettas... Thank goodness I've passed the acarology exam with a 100 mark!..hehe... Oribatids are usually harmless... In fact most of the time they hunt for small pests like Tetranychid mites (spider mites)... So you don't need to spray them if you have not seen any actual damage... If you've seen damage, please post an image so we can find out if its a mite or not...
Good luck...
