Does a flowering plant still need the red spectrum to keep on flowering or will the blue spectrum be okay ?

I,ve probably answered my own question.If i use a flourescent light(blue spectrum) as a supplement to some natural light flowering should continue.
Just looking @ options for growing in the winter months.
