    Default Orchid Tree

Just got back from Christmas breakfast on the beach only to go into the back yard and snap this picture of my orchid tree in full bloom. What a glorious day.

Oh, so pretty. Reminds me of my years in So. Texas!
Don't the blossoms look like a modified Hibscus? I wonder if they are related.

    Lucky you!!
I now have 3 white orchid trees growing. I started them from seed last year & they are now 1 foot high!!! Do you think I'll be around long enough to see them bloom?

That is so pretty, how big do they get?? I wouldn't mind putting one in front, that would be so pretty. Thanx for sharing!

They get pretty big, although I don't know how long it takes. Maybe Cin will post a picture of the leaf, too. It's beautiful and very unusual. One of my favorite tropicals.

Val, I've never seen a white one! Can you post a pic?

Connie they get pretty big and are really fast growers. Kind of messy with leaf drop, make sure that you get one that does not make seed pods. But their beauty far out weighs the mess.
