Phal Question - initiating flower spike
This is my phal that I rescued from a big box store last October. It's been doing great in its new pot! My question is how to get it to spike (it is currently growing its 7th leaf - see pics). It resides at my kitchen window, which faces North. My mini phal in this same location flowered for me April thru June, without being moved from its growing spot. I wonder if I should put this phal outside on my porch over night & bring it in during the day. It's been getting down into the low-mid 60s here at night lately. Or should I just leave it at the window? My dendrobium has a new flower spike& it spent the summer outside. I guess it's spiking because of the cooler night temps. Any thoughts??
