A young plant , flowering for the second time, but I think nowhere near what it could be. I have got up to three leads now, but two not strong enough to flower yet . I'm thinking of changing the culture ; it is in bark and moss in a plastic pan, and I am thinking of trying Perlite and moss in a basket - that seems to work quite well with some similar plants. Any experience with this species, and tips, would be appreciated ?
I have seen this species in the wild, growing on a horizontal branch of a big old tree in a temple compound which might have been in Cambodia or Laos - I was on a trip with some orchid people and I was content to be taken, and not worry about geography . But that plant was the size of cushion, with lots of spikes and they looked to have 30 or more flowers on each. In fact I looked at it through binoculars - it was that high up, and the identification came from the group leader; but I put the plant on my wish list then.
Flowers are a little bigger than an inch across..
