Another one that is high up in the shadehouse and I can't get to it easily. I lost most the buds to thrips I think. Whatever it was most blasted.

I know the feeling of not being able to get to the blooms up in the top of the shade house. This vanda bloom has an interesting shape. Is that due to the damage or does it bloom this way always? Great, bold color.

Bruce, It always has a slight ruffle to the edge. As the bloom gets a little older it will flatten out a smidge.

I agree with the others - the color is just beautiful, and I'm so sorry about those nasty pests - I know how it feels to lose the gorgeous display to a bunch of bugs!

Maura, I wish this would grow indoors for you. It has several keikis. I would bring you one on thursaday. It just gets huge and requires almost full sun and much humidity.

Beautiful Cathy. This was one of the first Vandas I purchased over five years ago. I am still a bit sentimental about Manuvadee and yes they get BIG. AL
