    The Phal hybrids that I bought usually were induced to flower in cool/air-conditioned room, maybe they need sometime to bloom naturally (at least that is what I suspected).

    Yes it's true that they need a drop of temperature as well, but that occurs naturally here in Sydney around autumn. If the temperature in your area is constant I understand why you had to place them in an air-conditioned room to initiate the flower spikes, but as you said hopefully with time they do their own thing naturally.

    Most time of the year the temperature is constant. But actually we do get temperature drop especially during rainy season, from about 32°C+ to 23-24°C. Not that extreme drop but hopefully it will do something.
