Yes, it does look a LOT like equestris. I currenly have three of them, all from keikis. Apparently this species produces them in spades. Actually, I recently got an equestris keiki off ebay that had produced its OWN keiki off of its OWN spike while still attached to the mother plant!!!!!
Although it COULD be a species, without a tag it would be VERY difficult to say for certain. It could just be a hybrid that is VERY influences by the equestris genes too. None the less, it is still a very lovely plant at a nearly perfect price.
