    Default My Cattleya orchid bloomed

Hey all! The storm we had here last week made one of my catts take a plunge. Consequently, I lost a bloom and was almost near tears. (Remember, I'm the newbie.) Thank goodness, the bud was unharmed. Here are some photos I took on the 18th as it began opening and the last photo was taken the morning of the 19th, just in time for Fathers' Day!

I felt like I could have planted myself right next to it to watch it open. Nature is truly spectacular!

Oh, my!! That is beautiful, Trish! I guess I would have planted myself next to it to watch, as well! (My husband did that with one little Leptotes; he breathed on it, and watched it open before his eyes - that was fun!)

    Those flowers are so beautiful.

No, it was marked with a tag that called it a Soto Rainbow Fantasy. No fragrance either. It sure is beautiful, though.
