Aranda Prapin Growing Hints?

Hi everyone, after some long time here I am again!

I got a "Aranda Prapin", and would like to know the requirements for growing this orchid. The orchid is already quite big, maybe soon ready to develop blossoms, IF I do the things right. The pot is over and over with roots, so I guess, one of the first things I should do, is to put the orchid and some stones (it came with stones around the roots) in a bigger pot or a big net. How to do this, and what else to do to make my new "Aranda Prapin" feeling good?

I hate to see a post go unanswered, but I've never grown these. I understand though from IOSPE that they are a cross between Arachnis and Vanda, and I would guess that they should be grown much like vandas...lots of light, and good humidity.

Sorry...I have been hosting company the last week. Vanda types like a lot of sunlight, fertilizer and air movement. They like to be kept very warm...never below 60 degrees. If you have them inside i'd be providing a fan for them. You really cannot overwater one. I get my roots nice and wet before applying my fertilizer solutions. But always keep good air movement with alot of sunlight because you want these roots to dry out quickly after you soak them. I find many of my vanda are sensitive to chemicals. I've lost a few after spraying for bugs and fungus. Now I try out any new chemicals on a small section of leaf to make sure it's not sensitive to it. Vanda types are very rewarding plants to bloom, if not a little trickier than some. Good Luck..

Im not sure what is the parents for Aranda Prapin, but one of them of is arachnis and the
other a vanda... both love lots of light, water and humidity.... Arachnis can grow in full
sun the whole day... so I would start with full morning sun... but i guess the plant can
handle full sun the whole day. Since its potted with rocks as media you can water it daily

Thanks a lot. I live in Jamaica, the sun here is quite intensive. I will slowly get it used for all that sun, still keeping it for now under the leaves of my ginger plant. Each day I will get it out, more and more.

Yes, me, too. That would be wonderful! I know, it's blossoms are white with pink dots. But it wasn't blooming yet.
