I love this one. I keep thinking about getting one but never seem to do it. Definately have to go orchid shopping and add this one to my collection.

This plant is relatively cheap and propogate easily. I wrote in my blog that this plant is an undead warrior and that drove some of my non-orchid enthusiast friends to buy one for their house decoration.
I do like this hybrid, but unfortunately it has completely died out of dealers listings on this side of the pond ; what is offered is a similar cross, which is supposed to be purple, instead of yellow ( can't think of the name at the moment) but which is simply a dowdy flower , thrown out of my collection as not worth the space. Bring back Yellow Bird , we want you !
Hi, I'm sorry to inform you that the plant you photographed is not Bl. Yellow Bird.
The correct name is Bc. Sunny Delight ( C. aurantiaca x B. perrinii ).
Also, refer to the other submissions of Yellow Bird at the bottom of the page for further confirmation.
Hope this has been helpful. Cattmad.

Wow, my bad. So sorry. It looked exactly like the yellow bird i had and I assume they are the same
Cheers
Vincent

Well, no matter the name...it is very PRETTY! Betty...:-)

Very lovely blooms!!

I've seek second opinion on another site on the verification of this plant. The agree that it is BL Yellow Bird which is synonym to BC Yellow Bird.
They said the significant difference between Bc. Sunny Delight is the lip which Yellow Bird has a the more enclosed lip at the beginning.
Anyone care to verify?
Vincent

This is my yellow bird
