    Default Eria javanica

    Hi folks,

first time flowering plant and not the best, hopefully next time!
This is the type species for this genus, it also re-flowers from the same spike, while it can stay dormant for many months.
There is a few color variations out there and all are nice, this clone shows a dark purple blotch on the labellum apex.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ron-
Lovely sparkle, like Bruce says! Congratulations on the photography, by the way. You are obviously so right about the different and unpredictable colour forms out there. I have not seen many, but I like the striped sepals of yours, and the delicate shading. The name Eria javanica is brandad on my brain because the first one I ever saw was an incredible shock: the flowers were warm and ice-cold at the same time, TUQUOISE- creamy blue/green. I know it was not a hallucination because there is a photo of it in a fairly recent book I have. That was a surprise too!

Lovely!! Mine is plain yellow, I think, because it has been years since it last bloomed, LOL. Thanks for sharing Ron.
