I mounted two mini vandas on the same plank...this one has bloomed a few times while the other plant just grows and grows. At least one of them likes to bloom. I've also included a pic of my Rhynchostylis gigantea red that is in spike and making me wait. lol Sometimes waiting to see a plant bloom for the first time can seem to take forever!

Those are good pics! I didn't know vandas can be grown on wood, too. I thought they could only be grown in the wooden baskets. Your blooms are beautiful. I have a dendrobium with a spike at home. The buds looked like they were about to open soon, but I'm on holiday until tomorrow, so I wonder if I'll find some lovely flowers when I get home. Brilliant pictures again!

That first one is cute -- mine should be in bloom by the time I return to my apt. Considering my lack of good vanda type conditions, this one has been a pretty easy grower and bloomer even for me.

beautiful orange on the bloomer, a nice soft color, look forward to pics of the red blooming, I have a red/white budding also and it's taking it's sweet time getting there

That's a very lovely Darwinara, Connie. I love the mini vandaceous. That Rhy gigantea spike looks awesome - should be open in a few days. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the flowers in full bloom. My red gigantea has 2 spikes but still only 2 inches long....still a very long wait to see the blooms.

...and looking fabulous. I have it hanging on the far side of the greenhouse and it is so bright and cheery. Now that it is completely bloomed I thought I would do an update...
