I came close to throwing this away when it suffered some strange sun damage after spraying in the Fall (with a dishwasher liquid type solution). Glad I kept it...
Hope you are all doing well I don't get to post much these days.

Sorry guys that 2nd picture is my sick (rotting?) L. Anceps. New baby, y'know, no sleep and all....here is the right one:
Very pretty flowers! I love those deep reds!
Welcome back and get some sleep!
Julie
Hiya Cinderella,
Good to see you around and stunning flower... love that colour!
As for the L anceps, I have had the same happen when there's been water lodged in the sheaths... esp down the bottom part where it is that little harder to peel away those sheaths... I'd just cut it off at the base and cinnamon the cut.
So how is that little Laura Ellen doing? Is she sleeping through the night yet?
cheers
tim
Beautiful blooms ! Welcome back . Gin
whooooooooooI love it.
For L. Anceps as Tim said, cut it now because rot is extremely fast

I already cut the rot off on one bulb but it spread because they were attached. This is one of my favorite plants too....sigh.
Lauren Ella is doing better, thanks....she has reflux but it is improving a bit. Managing 2 kids is exhausting! The transition is really tough on the big one. Thanks for asking!
Amazing! I don't know how anyone raises kids and manages to stay alive! I never got the chanceOriginally Posted by Cinderella
But if raising kid is like growing dends, they'd never have survived. Makes me think of how hard it was for my mom, with 3 kids 2 years between each kid and she worked!
Hooray for all Moms!
a real classic, with the satin-like texture!
Hi, My slc Jewel Box Scheherazade has two blooms on a spike. One flower is a deep scarlet and the second one is almost pinkWhy do you think they are different colors? Once the first bloom opened I moved the orchid back from the window. Could that be the reason for the different shades
