I've had a young Phal (hasn't flowered) for about 2 months and the largest root lost it's tip today. The root is not brown or mushy. It's hard and the tip WAS green until a week ago when I noticed it was sort of grayed. The tip of the root was laying over the edge of the plastic pot it was in so maybe it didn't like the pot edge? Not sure what happened but I'd appreciate any thoughts. The other 2 visible roots are growing like crazy. Humidity, temp and light seem optimal, and the plant is otherwise growing fine.

I'm with Gin. It either got bumped, or it didn't like the pot edge. That happens. Nothing to sweat!

Ditto to the 2 above me
Great, thanks for the help. A quick look at some roots from the bottom of the pot showed that they're growing well.
