    Default Epidendrum nocturnum, possible spike?

    I bought this plant in June at an orchid show. I've never had this plant before, so now that I've seen something that doesn't look like a leaf, I think it could be a spike. Can anyone confirm, please.

    That looks like something is going on inside the sheath...hang in there. I have a few that like to tease me and will grow a second sheath inside.

    How exciting. It's always great to have spikes or sheaths on our plants, but specially when it's the first time it happens to a new plant.
